Resume
Qingde Zhang, male, Dr., Professor. Member of Youth Innovation Promotion Association, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Dr. Zhang graduated and earned Ph.D in Physical Chemistry from University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2007. After graduation, he has been working in State Key Laboratory of Coal Conversion, Institute of Coal Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He ever did a postdoctoral fellowship in Tsubaki Lab, University of Toyama, Japan.
Dr. Zhang mainly engages in the research of catalytic conversion of dimethyl ether (DME)/CH3OH to value-added oxygenated chemicals and diesel oxygenate additives. Dr. Zhang has managed the projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Special fund for the Youth Innovation Promotion Association, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, Natural Science Foundation of Shanxi Province, the knowledge in-novation program of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Young Talents of Institute of Coal Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Dr. Zhang has achieved an obvious progress in the activation and oriented-conversion of DME molecule. The bond breaking of C-H and C-O of DME molecule was deeply investigated using in situ techniques. Based on this, the different functional catalysts were designed and applied in DME selective oxidation. Unique research of their own characteristics on new reaction system of DME catalytic conversion has been formulated, and the work has been paid close attention by the researchers from both academic and industry.
