On January 13, 2011, the National Coal Standards Technical Committee examined and approved the standards of two state-level analytical methods, which was put forward by ICC, for indirect coal liquefaction. Titled " Determination of H2, N2, CO, CO2 and CH4 in raw material gas for coal-based F-T synthesis - Gas Chromatography" and " Determination of H2, N2, CO, CO2 and C1~C8 Hydrocarbon in tail gas from coal-based F-T synthesis - Gas Chromatography", these standards will be issued by the Standardization Administration of China.

This is another breakthrough of ICC’s CTL technology after successful operation of demonstration plants, which further strengthens ICC’s leading position in the field of coal liquefaction and also manifested the reliability and authority of analytical methods proposed by ICC.

In the standard examination meeting, the experts all agreed that, as the first of its kind in China, the establishment of these two standards not only has filled in the national gap in this sector but also is of great significance to standardization of the detection methods of F-T synthesis and promotion of healthy development of CTL industry in China.
