The Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference vice chairman and minister of S&T Wan Gang, accompanied by Shanxi provincial governor Li Xiaopeng, inspected ICC on Dec 6.

Wan Gang paid a visit to ICC’s Achievements Exhibition Room, Analytical Instrumentation Centre and State Key Lab of Coal Conversion. After listening to ICC director Wang Jianguo’s report on recent R&D, Wan Gang indicated that Shanxi is the country’s important base of energy and heavy chemical industry, thereby the important base of coal processing and conversion as well. He encouraged ICC to make full use of its advantages both in science and talents and further strengthen its R&D efforts in energy environment, advanced materials and green chemistry, in order to provide supporting technologies for promoting the safe, effective and clean use of coal and for the green, circular and low carbon development of Shanxi.
