The CAS Institute of Coal Chemistry (ICC) will team up with two universities in Australia, Curtin University of Technology and the University of Newcastle, to develop clean coal technology. The agreement for the collaboration was inked recently in Taiyuan, capital of north China's Shanxi Province.

Prof. SUN Yuhan, ICC director, Prof. Linda Kristjanson, vice chancellor of the Curtin University of Technology and Prof. Barney Glover, deputy vice chancellor of the University of Newcastle, delivered speeches at the signing ceremony for the protocol, saying it is of significance for the three parties to form a strategic partnership in the field.
