SELCFP was founded in 2009 with the approval of National Development and Reform Commission. Main goal and task of SELCFP is: with a view to the urgent need of carbon fiber composite materials for key strategic tasks and key projects in aviation, spaceflight, energy and transportation areas, establish a platform for carbon fiber preparation and carry out engineering technology research on polymerization of polyacrylonitrile carbon fiber, spinning of precursor and then oxidation and carbonization, develop polymerization reactor, spinning equipment and oxidation oven, etc., forming a whole set of technologies and application assessment system.
