Founded more than 20 years ago, PCGERC addresses basic coal chemistry, fluidization, gas cleaning and environmental engineering, developing whole set of coal gasification technologies and equipments for commercialization.
Since its foundation, researchers of PCGERC have implemented numerous State-level R&D projects, winning the First Award of CAS Scientific and Technological Progress and the Nation’s Important Achievement Award for Tackling Key S&T Problems in the 8th Five Year Plan Period. Many patents have been authorized. Both atmospheric and pressurized ash agglomerating pulverized coal gasification(AGPCG) processes have been successfully demonstrated and have been put into utilization, forming systemic AGPCG technologies suitable for efficient and clean use of China’s coals.
In cooperation with Shanxi Jincheng Anthracite Mining Group Co. Ltd, ICC established Shanxi Tianhe Coal Gasification S& T Co. Ltd in order to speed up the spreading of AGPCG technologies.
