Recently , a research team led by Prof . Nanwen Li from the Institute of Coal Chemistry ( ICC ) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences ( CAS ) .Presented that the polymers of intrinsic microporosity ( PIMs ) with strong hydrogen-bonding functionalities can improve phosphoric acid ( PA ) binding energy and thus preferably uphold PA in the vicinity of Pt catalyst particles to mitigate the adsorption of PA on the Pt surface .Since 2014 , he has been working at the Shanxi Institute of Coal Chemistry , Chinese Academy of Sciences . Zeolitic materials have been widely applied in petro-, coal and fine chemical industries due to their excellent adsorptive and catalytic properties, which highly depend on their porous structures, chemical compositions, surface properties and crystal shape and size. Rationally design of zeolite with required morphology, especially precise assembly of rigid zeolite crystal, is crucial to improve the adsorption and catalytic performance. At present, significant progress has been made in accurately controlling zeolite with desired morphology by using multi tailed quaternary ammonium salts and/or amphiphilic surfactants as templates which induces the rational assembly of zeolite nano sheets into particles with mesoporous structure.

On April 21st, the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) technical specification, IEC/TS 62565-5-2, Nanomanufacturing-Material Specifications-Part 5-2: Nano enabled electrode of electrical capacitor-Blank detail specification, was officially released. This technical specification was first proposed in 2018 by the Institute of Coal and Chemistry (ICC) and was approved in May 2020. Wang Zhenbing and Chen Chengmeng from ICC were the leader and deputy leader of this project. And Huang Xianhong from ICC was executively responsible for the project. The project team includes ten experts from China, Canada, Korea, Germany, and Russia. Comments and suggestions from IEC TC 113 members were widely collected during the developing, which is the fundamental of the high applicability and wide adoption.

On April 20th, the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association (CPCIA) organized a video appraisal meeting on scientific and technological achievements of "Development of medium/low temperature denitrification catalyst and industrial application technology". The technology was jointly completed by the Institute of Coal Chemistry (ICC) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), the Taiyuan University of Technology, the Hubei Siboying Environmental Protection Science and Technology Co., Ltd., the Shanxi Liheng Coking Co., Ltd. and the Shanxi Yaxin New Energy Science and Technology Co., Ltd.
